Tickets & Transfers

• Tickets are non-refundable for change of mind, subject to your rights under New Zealand consumer law.

• If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to another woman. Please let us know the new guest’s name and email address at least 48 hours before the event so we can update our guest list and matching information.

• As The Common Thread is an event created specifically for women, tickets may only be transferred to another woman.

• Your place is confirmed once payment has been received.

• Each ticket includes two beverages from the event drinks menu, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available, grazing food throughout the evening, and a take-home gift bag. Additional drinks may be purchased directly from the venue.

Your Information

• Your contact details and information provided in connection with The Common Thread will be held by the event hosts, Shortlist and ByLauren.co, and used to administer the event, communicate with you about your booking, and help curate the guest experience and connections on the night.

• Your responses to the pre-event questions may be used to identify potential introductions, matches and common themes within the room. Selected responses or themes may also be shared anonymously as part of the event experience.

• By booking, you also agree that Lauren and Jeannie may retain your name and contact details and contact you from time to time about future events, products, services, news and other updates we think may be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link provided.

• Your personal information will not be sold or provided to unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.

• You may request access to or correction of the personal information held about you by contacting us.

The Event

• The Common Thread is a curated event. The hosts may arrange connection groups and make introductions based on the information guests provide before the event.

• While we’ll put thought into the connections we make, we can’t guarantee any particular introduction, relationship, business opportunity or other outcome from attending.

• Guests must be 18+ to attend.

• Responsible service of alcohol applies. The venue reserves the right to refuse alcohol service where appropriate.

Photography & Content

• Photography and/or video may be captured during the event for The Common Thread, Shortlist and ByLauren.co social media, websites and future event marketing.

• If you would prefer not to appear in identifiable photography or video, please let us know when you arrive and we’ll do our best to ensure you are excluded from identifiable content.

Changes & Cancellation

• If we need to make a material change to the event date, time or venue, we’ll contact ticket holders as soon as reasonably possible with details and the options available.

• If The Common Thread is cancelled and does not proceed, ticket holders will receive a refund in accordance with applicable New Zealand consumer law.

• Where circumstances outside our reasonable control affect the event, we’ll communicate any changes and available options as soon as reasonably possible.

• Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under applicable New Zealand consumer law.
